Rice University is set to expand its free tuition program. Families with incomes up to $200,000 per year will be eligible for the program. This change is scheduled to take effect in the fall of 2027.

At the same time, the university will also offer additional financial support to lower-income families. For families earning less than $100,000 annually, Rice University will cover not only tuition but also mandatory fees and room and board, starting in the fall of 2027. Further information on these changes can be found through Houston Public Media.
